Rewards
There are two rewards programs running right now, and it's worth knowing which is which.
- Bitcoin rewards — the current program. You earn on every order, and it carries on.
- The old points program — being retired. It closes 30 September 2026. If you have points, use them before then.
Bitcoin rewards — the current program
You earn Bitcoin on your orders, whether you pay by card or over Lightning. Either works. As you spend more over time, you move into higher reward tiers.
How to earn:
- Place an order.
- Afterwards you'll get an email inviting you to confirm your rewards account.
- Once you confirm, rewards build up on their own as you buy.
You need a customer account, and you have to be signed in to see anything. Your Bitcoin rewards show against your orders in your account.

The old points program — closing 30 September 2026
This is the one being retired. You're not earning new points anymore — every order earns Bitcoin rewards now instead. If you built up points, you can still turn them into store credit or free shipping until 30 September. After that they're gone.

How to spend the store credit
Your credit lives on your customer account, so you have to be signed in for it to show up. Check out as a guest and you won't see it. That's the whole trick, and it isn't obvious.
- Go to gillespie.coffee and click the person icon at the top right. Sign in with the same email your orders are under — points only show up for the email that earned them.
- Put in your email. We'll send you a six-digit code. There's no password to remember.
- Add your coffee and check out as normal.
- Your credit shows up as a payment method and comes off the total by itself. No code to type.
Two things worth knowing
- Credit from the old points program comes off your subscription renewals automatically, and off any order you place on the website. You don't need to do anything once it's claimed. (Bitcoin rewards are different — they're paid in sats through your rewards account, not as store credit.)
- Credit is applied in full, not in parts.
Which link is which
There are two places to look, which is easy to trip over:
- gillespie.coffee/apps/loyalty — the old points program. Your points balance, and where you claim store credit or free shipping. Closing 30 September.
- your account → Orders — your Bitcoin rewards, shown against each order. This is the one that carries on.
