Absolved Fair Trade Organic Decaf Blend

Very nice decaf. To achieve a fuller body and taste, we increase grounds by 25%. For example: 96oz air pot= 1 and 1/4 cups of grounds.

Awesome decaf coffee, pairs great with Tenebrae to make a half-caff blend.

This is a nice decaf blend that I like to keep on hand. Good flavor!

Swiss water process was used to decaffeinate this blend, leading to a great flavor with no chemical taste. Recommended for those times when you are taking a break from the real thing!

This coffee was a real treat as it brought back memories of my 5 yrs of employment at Superior Tea & Coffee Co. before I entered the FW seminary and now my 31 years of ministry.
It took a couple of brews to realize I was again tasting blend w/o Robusta beans and receiving the fine mild tastes of great blends and the taste of every coffee beans from various regions. I look forward to ordering more blends to try. I did notice that the Decaf green Beans were water processed and not chemically processed as there was no shiny oiliness as in Chemical processed green beans. Thanks for the coffee experience. Rev. Gregory Brown

This is GREAT tasting decaf coffee.
Thank you for another amazing blend.

The title says it all. This is a great decaf to end the day. Ordering was easy. Shipping was prompt.

Got my order in today, made a cup, and it is so good! Thank you!!

Absolved was our first order from Coffee by Gillespie. We have since added Ethiopia Organic Limu SWP DP Decaf to our subscription (look for our review of it there).
First off, Pastor Gillespie's tasting notes are spot on, but they are also subtle shades of flavor throughout the coffee. I do not generally lean toward floral or fruit notes in my coffee, but the Absolved blend and Roast won me over.
Instead, these are present but very subtle shades of flavor which might well be adjust with slight shifts in the roasting, nothing like an artificially flavored coffee. In fact, I would describe the fruit more along the lines of the fruit in a fine Pinot Noir rather than, say, a jelly or jam.
This brew came lightly roasted without surface oil which is excellent for us as our burr grinder is part of our coffee maker and oily beans require more "love" for the machine to work at its best. The beans and roast combination may stand up to cream if that is your taste, but I am getting more out of the coffee's flavors by drinking it without any additions.
All of the coffees are well packaged for shipping and, of course, come in resealable bags for freshness throughout their use. Highly Recommended!

Loved the smooth taste, came ready ground for my French press. Excellent work

Thanks for roasting a great decaf for those of us who love coffee but can't handle the caffeine. This satisfies my coffee craving!

I only got this because my wife was nagging me about my blood pressure and suggested I drink less caffeine, so I was prepared to not like it. However, it is every bit as good as the rest of Gillespie’s coffees, very smooth, and a tasty addition to my afternoon habit. I am no longer ashamed. I am absolved.

I know many serious coffee drinkers scoff at decaf, but some of us must use it for health reasons. I am grateful for this really great decaf! Thanks for making a great brew that satisfies.

Excellent flavor and aroma. Super fast shipping!

My husband, Mike, and I both have enjoyed your Absolved decaf coffee and have found this to be extremely smooth and tastes nothing like the store bought decafs. This is a true delight and one can enjoy a cup of coffee into the evening now. Very good and will keep ordering as we are on our second order of this delicious decaf coffee!.

Thank you for the coffee.
